Excursion ‘’Registan square”
Registan is a decoration of Central Asia, one of the most magnificent squares in the world, which is located in the center of old Samarkand. There is a legend that from the beginning of the 15th century until the beginning of the 20th century, public executions took place on the square, so that the blood would be better absorbed and not noticeable, the ground was strewn with sand.
Mausoleum and Madrasah of Bibi Khanum

Mausoleum of Khazrat Khizr

The harmony of the living composition, reflecting the history of the 25th century Samarkand, is a mysterious and unsurpassed archaeological and architectural memorial complex - the Shah-Zinda necropolis. The most magnificent and picturesque masterpiece of the architectural monuments of the Middle Ages, the street-cemetery, as the locals call it, is located near the Bibi Khanum mosque on the slope of Afrosiyab. The oldest ensemble includes 11 mausoleums, iridescent with bright inflorescence of blue domes.

The ancient settlement Afrosiyab founded in the 7th-6th centuries BC, lasted until the 13th century is located on the northern outskirts of Samarkand and today it is only a cluster of hills. It is believed that Afrosiab was Marakanda -the capital of the legendary Sogdiana.
Observatory of Ulugbek
The creator of one of the most interesting historical monuments of Samarkand a unique building a medieval observatory is Muhammad Taragay, better known as Ulugbek (“Ulug” the great, “Bek” the ruler).
