Registan Square
Registan Square is an ornament of Central Asia, one of the most magnificent squares in the world, which is located in the center of old Samarkand. There is a legend that from the beginning of the 15th century until the beginning of the 20th century, public executions took place on the square, and so that the blood could be better absorbed and not noticeable, the ground was strewn with sand.

The stunning cathedral mosque that appears from the Afrosiab hill literally translates as “elder princess” (or “elder wife”) Bibi Khanum was also called the Friday mosque of Samarkand - thousands of Muslim men came here to perform the sacrament of prayer.
The largest and oldest bazaar in Samarkand is one of the largest and oldest bazaars in Uzbekistan and Central Asia. The area of the bazaar exceeds seven hectares. Siab bazaar is one of the most visited places in the city.
In the beginning of the 15th century, one of the iconic architectural ensembles of the medieval East, Gur Emir, was built in the southwestern part of Samarkand. This majestic complex consisted of a khanak, Muhammad Sultan Madrasah - the grandson of Amir Timur and the later tomb of Amir Timur himself and his descendants.

The harmony of the living composition, reflecting the history of the 25th century Samarkand, is a mysterious and unsurpassed archaeological and architectural memorial complex - the Shakhi-Zinda necropolis. The most magnificent and picturesque masterpiece of the architectural monuments of the Middle Ages, the street-cemetery, as the locals call it, is located near the Bibi Khanum mosque on the slope of Afrosiab. The oldest ensemble includes 11 mausoleums, iridescent with bright inflorescence of blue domes.
